The Gift Goes On

The Gift Goes On is a new capital campaign to repay the benefactor the remaining $603,000.00 and once again be debt free at Resurrection Life Church. The benefactor is a man who fully funded the 2015 Phase Five building renovation interest free.

Spring of 2018 marks 3 years since the Phase Five building renovation was completed and the congregation has been faithful to continue to give each week toward the Phase Five capital campaign. As of mid 2019 we have repaid our benefactor $330,000.00 of the $932,000.00 that he gave.

Now is the time for us, the people of Resurrection Life Church, to be a gift as well. It is time to shift our focus off the building and put our heart and attention on the giver. This new project is called “The Gift Goes On”.

The Gift Goes On! It’s about being able to love on others and share the amazing gift of Jesus with them, making it possible for them to pass it on to others.

The gift from our Benefactor allows us to use our ministry resources authentically and whole heartedly in our communities to reach those who so desperately need to unwrap a gift of hope, love and grace. And now through us, the gift goes on!

Jesus is the ultimate gift.

At the start of The Gift Goes On program our goal is to raise the remaining $603,000.00 to repay the benefactor in full.

Without the interest free loan from the benefactor the building renovations would have been financially impossible.

Leave it to God to make a way in the wilderness for His people!

Because of the benefactor we are able to pay the loan back as the people of Resurrection Life Church give. The alternative, a bank loan, that would have crippled the whole ministry.

Example 1: A 10 year loan from the bank of $932,000.00 at 5% would have required a payment of $10,000.00 per monthIn addition, we would have paid the bank more than $250,000.00 in interest!

Example 2:30 year bank loan of $932,000.00 at 5% would cost us $5,000.00 per month and $869,000.00 in total interest! This example would have cost us a total of $1,800,100.00!

In addition, the benefactor is not able to invest or earn interest for as long as it takes us to repay him.

Now that the Phase Five pledges have come in, we will refocus our efforts through The Gift Goes On program to repay the benefactor.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

See the section: GIVING OPPORTUNITIES to get involved.

A Faith Promise is a commitment with God to give by faith toward The Gift Goes On program. Committing to God that when He provides money you will apply it to your faith Promise.

Faith giving is a daring step of trust in our heavenly Father. We believe He is the provider! We believe He is faithful! By faith, we commit to honor a given promise, trusting Him to provide.

Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see.
