FORGE is a ministry for men of all ages and backgrounds who are being shaped by God into the men they want to be, so they can live the life they were born to live.
The Men’s Ministry at Resurrection Life Church is passionate about raising up godly men, helping them become the best they can be as fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, friends, employers, employees or whatever role they may find themselves in. The men meet regularly for Bible study and times offellowship here at the church and off-site. Events are scheduled throughout the year that gives men the opportunity to seek God and grow together.
Proverbs 26:17 - As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.Like iron sharpening iron, Forge Men's Ministry is all about developing strong men in the Lord, an army of men (Minutemen); ready at all times to go to battle for each other, for their family, and for the Lord.
Forge is a 60 to 90 minute bi-weekly meeting with the following elements:
THE FORGE Definition of forge - make or shape (a metal object) by heating it in a fire or furnace and hammering it in order to create (something) strong and enduring. The forging process improves some of the properties of metal, such as impact toughness, fatigue strength, and tensile ductility.
Impact Toughness is the ability of a material to absorb energy without fracturing. It is also defined as a material's resistance to fracture when stressed.
Tensile Ductility is a measure of a metal's ability to withstand tensile stress—any force that pulls the two ends of a material away from each other. ... The term "ductile" literally means that a metal substance is capable of being stretched out into a thin wire, and it does not become weaker or become brittle in the process.
Fatigue Strength is the highest stress that a material can withstand for a given number of cycles without breaking — called also endurance strength. We have all seen steel used to sharpen a blade, to give it an edge, and make it fit to do its work.
Hebrews 10:24 Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works.
Isaiah 35:3-4 Strengthen the weak hands and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful hearted, be strong and do not fear.

Are your thoughts holding you captive? Jennie Allen knows what it’s like to swirl in a spiral of destructive thoughts, such as I’ll never be good enough. Other people have better lives than I do. God couldn’t really love me. But Jennie also knows we don’t have to stay stuck in toxic thinking patterns. As she discovered in her own life, God built a way for us to escape that downward spiral. Freedom comes when we refuse to be victims to our thoughts and realize we have already been equipped with power from God to fight and win the war for our minds.
In Get Out of Your Head, a six-session video-based Bible study, Jennie inspires and equips us to transform our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. Our enemy is determined to get in our heads to make us feel helpless, overwhelmed, and incapable of making a difference for the kingdom of God. But when we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways.
It starts in your head. And from there, the possibilities are endless.

In this time of uncertainty, when it feels like God is silent in our country or He has not heard our prayers we wonder why. In a time of tragedy, a death, a horrific accident, or upsetting news from the doctor, we sometimes can not understand why? Why does it seem like God is not "fixing" it? We look at our difficult circumstances or the uncertainty of our future and wonder is it possible that good things can come out of our broken dreams or devastation?
Grammy Award-winning songwriter Laura Story had a fairy-tale life---until her husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Can blessings arise from broken dreams? This book tackles the common myths about God and hardship, she examines what happens when life doesn't turn out as we expect.
